20 Pics that Will Make You Want to Travel to Ecuador with Your Best Friend

One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was to study abroad for a semester in college. When I signed up to go, there was only one other Spanish major who planned to study abroad in Ecuador that same semester. I didn’t know her well at the time, but, when you travel the world with someone, you quickly become very close. Randi is now one of my dearest friends, and our adventures together in Ecuador were top-notch. Ecuador is a country full of adventurous opportunities. Randi and I swam with sea-lions, penguins, and sharks in the Galapagos Islands, experienced the joys of staying on a yacht for 5 days, went white-water-rafting in the jungle, zip-lined over the canopy of the rain forest, hiked one of the world’s tallest mountains, got lost on numerous occasions, ate some interesting food, developed our Spanish-speaking skills, and made some incredible memories along the way. Three months in Ecuador is way more than a typical vacation, but anyone can travel to Ecuador with their best friend for even a week or two and have the most amazing time! Here are some pictures that highlight just a few of my favorite moments, and I hope they inspire you to take an adventure in Ecuador with your bestie:

Awesome Day Trips

Your pictures are beautiful! I really loved this post. When I was 17 I spent a month in Quito, Equador and some of your pictures really brought me back! It is a beautiful place. I even have a picture on the equator at middle of the world too. The best are the memories of those mountains tho! I hope to go back someday. I will have to try some of the other destinations you mentioned!
